ABOUT ME

Scott Percelay, M.S.Ed, LMHC

Before earning his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College, Scott Percelay completed his B.A. at The New School where he studied film and psychology. Scott believes stories are powerful tools that can lead to healing, growth, and discovery. From a place of curiosity we can begin to write, rewrite, or change our stories— in turn, finding comfort and transformation.

Scott takes an integrative approach to therapy utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic techniques. Scott has experience helping clients with a range of topics including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, loss, self-esteem, identity development, maintaining healthy relationships, and navigating life transitions.

Scott is currently an adjunct lecturer at CUNY's Hunter College, teaching Counseling Skills and Lifespan Development. He is also passionate about engaging in social justice work. Scott currently sits on the panel of facilitators for (Re)Defining Power: Exploring the White Male Voice in Diversity Work, an annual conference with the goal of providing young white men with language and tools to fight for racial and gender equity.

Outside of work you can find him playing volleyball, testing out a new recipe, or planning his next escape from the city.

Jaquelyn Pharmakides, M.S.Ed, LMHC

Jaquelyn is committed to creating a safe therapeutic environment where her clients feel validated and empowered to create positive change. Before earning her Master’s Degree in Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, Jaquelyn completed a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Rider University and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Psychology from Wagner College. After a brief stint in Higher Education and Human Resources, she now leverages her experience to help guide individuals toward deeper self-awareness, authenticity, and personal growth.

Over the years, Jaquelyn has gained valuable experience working with a broad range of issues, including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, identity development, mindfulness, and navigating life transitions. Jaquelyn also specializes in adult ADHD treatment, combining research-based strategies with empathetic support to boost executive functioning.

Jaquelyn’s practice is rooted in the humanistic tradition- grounded in empathy, respect, and the belief that you have the ability to create meaningful, lasting change, albeit sometimes with a little help. Taking an integrative approach, she draws upon the wisdom of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to best serve the individual needs of each person. Her focus is on equipping you with practical tools to challenge negative thought patterns and build emotional resilience.

She welcomes meeting individuals who’ve never tried therapy before. Her goal is to make your first session feel more like a friendly conversation than an exam, so you can share at your own pace, ask any questions, and leave feeling seen, supported, and hopeful.
